Registered Social Worker | Psychotherapist – MSW RSW
Most of the people I work with come in exhausted from people-pleasing, unsure of their own decisions, caught in patterns of over-responsibility, or worn down by perfectionism that never quite lets them rest. Others are navigating low self-esteem, depression, relationship struggles, big life transitions, or the lasting effects of trauma. Underneath a lot of this is a nervous system that’s been in overdrive for a long time, and hasn’t had a real chance to settle.
With somatic, mindfulness-based, and embodiment-focused approaches I help you meet your unique goals and reconnect with your body, not just your thoughts. Our sessions can offer a space for you to slow down, explore your feelings, needs, and boundaries, and understand what you truly want.
Together we can work through anxiety and burnout, becoming aware of long-held survival patterns that are no longer serving you, helping you step into a fuller expression of your authentic self. I love offering spaces where clients can feel seen and heard, while they reconnect with the wisdom and greatness within themselves.
I bring 17 years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy, including several years working with adults in a college counselling setting. I draw on different modalities depending on what each client needs. Embodied Psychotherapy supports clients in going beyond traditional talk therapy by connecting with the wisdom of the body. I also draw on Mindfulness practices, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, offering valuable tools for coming back to the present moment and settling an overwhelmed nervous system. I’ve been a student of mindfulness and contemplative practices for almost 2 decades. For clients interested in movement for self-expression and healing, we can include Therapeutic Movement/Dance in our sessions, based on your comfort level, drawing on 2 years of study with Movement Arc Somatic Education and Therapy. I also have training in Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Approaches. Traditional approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Counselling, are incorporated as needed.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation where we can chat about your goals and see if we’re a good match. I’d love to hear from you.

More then just my work:
Outside of working with people, I enjoy being in nature, including hiking and hugging trees. I also love traveling, dancing, meditating and drawing illustrations for inspirational writing.
