Frequently Asked Questions

We offer individual therapy & couples therapy, both in person at our Beaches office and online across Ontario. Our therapists bring a range of approaches including EMDR, somatic and embodied therapy, Gestalt, art therapy, and creative arts therapies. We tend to work relationally and somatically, meaning we’re interested in what’s happening in your body and your relationships, not just what you think or say. If you’re not sure which type of therapy is right for you, we’re happy to talk it through in a free 20-minute consult.

Booking is easy! You can schedule directly online through our booking page and see real-time availability for all of our therapists. If you don’t see a time that works for you, just reach out and we’ll do our best to find something that fits. You can contact us by phone at 647-584-5688 or by email. We don’t always answer the phone right away but we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Your first session is really just a chance to get to know each other. You’ll have space to share what’s been going on and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. Your therapist will listen, ask some questions, and together you’ll start to figure out what you want to work on and how. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out before you come in. Everything you share stays confidential, and we go at your pace.

Yes! We offer both in-person and online sessions. Our office is located at 579 Kingston Road, Toronto, Ontario M4E 1R3. We’re happy to accommodate whichever format works best for you.

Yes! We offer couples therapy rooted in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and relational approaches. We help couples understand the underlying patterns that keep driving conflict, rebuild emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of communicating and relating to each other. Whether you’re navigating a specific issue or feeling generally disconnected, couples therapy can help you get back on the same team.

Yes, we offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and are EMDRIA approved. EMDR helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories that got “stuck” so the past stops hijacking your present. It’s particularly effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and grief. EMDR sessions are typically 80 minutes to give the process enough space, though 50-minute sessions are available depending on where you’re at in your treatment.

Yes, we offer somatic and embodied therapy in many forms, including Gestalt psychotherapy, embodiment practices, and creative arts therapies. Rather than talk therapy alone, we work with what your body holds,  helping you access and process experiences through movement, sensation, imagery, and creative expression. No artistic ability required!

Most insurance companies honour psychotherapy services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. We provide receipts after each session for you to submit for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider ahead of time to confirm your coverage and any limits on your plan.

Individual sessions are usually 50 minutes, though a lot of clients prefer 80 minutes when they want more space to go deeper. Couples sessions run 75 or 90 minutes, with 75 being our standard. EMDR sessions are typically 80 minutes, though we can do 50 depending on where you’re at in the process.

Yes! We offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know you and ensure we’re a good fit. If for any reason your therapist isn’t the perfect match, just let us know,  we’re happy to connect you with someone who is.

Individual therapy sessions are $180–$190 for a 50-minute session. Couples sessions are $240 for a 75-minute session. Most insurance plans cover Registered Psychotherapist services, we provide receipts for reimbursement. Check with your provider to confirm your coverage.

Honestly, it depends. Some people come in with something specific they want to work through and feel a real shift in a few months. Others find therapy becomes an important part of their ongoing wellbeing. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping for in your first session and go from there. There’s no pressure to commit to anything upfront.

If something is getting in the way of your life, your sleep, your relationships, just getting through the day, it might be time to talk to someone. You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out. If you’re wondering whether it could help, that’s usually a good enough reason to book a free consult and find out.

Just bring yourself and your openness. You don’t need to have anything figured out beforehand or know exactly what to say. Therapy is a relationship, and we’re here together to figure this out. You’re not alone in this process.

Sometimes it takes a few sessions to really know if it’s the right fit, and that’s totally okay. Ifsomething isn’t working, we want to know. If after a session or two you realize it’s not quite theright match, we’re more than happy to help you find someone who is a better fit. That might besomeone else within our clinic or we can point you toward another therapist. Match really matters, and we want to make sure you have the absolute right therapist for you.

They’re different, but honestly one isn’t better than the other. What matters most is where you feel most comfortable. Some people prefer in-person, while others feel more at ease doing therapy from home in their own space. That said, online therapy can sometimes feel cumbersome if you’ve got other people in the house. Either way, therapy is equally effective in both formats. It really comes down to what works best for your life.
