Registered Psychotherapist
Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed by the process of starting therapy. Maybe you aren’t sure if it’s going to help, you feel as if you need to be ten steps ahead of where you currently are and can’t see a way forward.
I utilize a holistic, individualistic, and integrative approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate your unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy.
I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment and value the importance of the therapeutic relationship to help you move forward with ease. I am a compassionate therapist with incredible empathy, who is also not afraid to challenge you and encourage you to question what is in front of you as you pave your path ahead.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto. I have worked with and assessed clients with ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma experiences, grief, relationship and parenting issues, and other disorders including borderline personality disorder and disordered eating. I have also supported individuals through the GTA Distress Centre and Talk Suicide 988, providing support and crisis intervention for clients in distress.
It brings me a sense of ease knowing we are all in this together, and that each of us is likely going through similar things at one time or another. Being out in nature, being active, and spending time with family and friends, alone or in combination, helps me connect with myself, who and what’s important to me, and the earth.
Something fun and interesting about me: I had the courage to eat fried insects in Thailand and lived to tell the tale! I actually enjoyed the grasshopper as it was crispy like chips… but the fried legs can get stuck in your throat so watch out if you dare :)
My Favourite Quote:
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
– Buddha
I invite you to book a 20 minute consultation to see if we are a right fit together.
